Zoom With A View

Yuval and Dolores had arranged their very first date on the evening that the lockdown came into effect, and so, like the rest of the world, they decided to meet online instead. The date went well; Yuval made Dolores think and Dolores made Yuval laugh, which was remarkable considering that Yuval had lost his sense of humour in a joking accident at the age of 17.

At the end of the rendez-vous, Yuval leaned into his screen to kiss Dolores, prompting Dolores to react by slamming her laptop shut, screaming "how dare you! not on a first date, what sort of woman do you take me for? we may be in the middle of a pandemic but that's no excuse for wanton debauchery!"

"Ow" cried Yuval, holding his nose, "that hurt!" I knew Zoom had security issues but this is ridiculous!"

The Not So Great Escape

Mike Furlough was stuck in a thinking trap; mostly catastrophizing with a little bit of emotional reasoning on the side. He was also self-isolating at home with symptoms of the virus, the pesky bloody virus. He turned on the T.V and flicked through the channels until he came across The Great Escape, one of his favourite films. He watched Steve McQueen on his motorbike scooting away from the Nazis, and then jumping over a fence only to be caught by the Nazis again, the pesky bloody Nazis. That's me, thought Mike, I'm Steve McQueen, which weirdly made him feel a whole lot better.
